Compression load cell

Compression load cells are designed for direct measurement of compressive forces acting on structural elements such as piles, struts, arches, and support structures. When subjected to load, the cell undergoes elastic deformation, which is detected by electrical strain gauges arranged in a Wheatstone bridge configuration, converting deformation into an electrical signal proportional to the applied force. The multi–strain gauge configuration allows automatic compensation of unwanted effects such as bending or non-uniform load distribution, ensuring high measurement accuracy and reliability. These load cells are widely used in geotechnical and structural monitoring applications, where they enable tracking of load evolution over time and verification of structural behavior. The stainless steel construction and high robustness make the instrument suitable for long-term installations even under high load conditions.
