Hydraulic anchor load cells are designed for direct measurement of forces acting on tie rods, anchors, and support systems, providing a simple, robust, and immediate solution for stress state monitoring in the field. The sensor consists of two steel plates welded along the perimeter, with an internal cavity filled with degassed hydraulic fluid: the applied load generates a change in fluid pressure, directly proportional to the force acting on the system. Measurement can be carried out via an integrated pressure gauge, allowing direct reading in kN without the need for external instrumentation, or via a pressure transducer for integration into automated monitoring solutions. Thanks to low sensitivity to eccentric loading, robust construction, and long-term stability, hydraulic load cells represent a highly reliable solution for both temporary and permanent monitoring applications, even in harsh environmental conditions.
