The dummy probe is an tool designed for preliminary verification of accessibility and integrity of inclinometer casing, prior to the use of the measuring inclinometer probe. Featuring geometry and mechanical characteristics similar to those of an inclinometer probe, but without sensitive components, the dummy probe allows the detection of possible obstructions, deformations, or anomalies along the inclinometer casing without exposing the measuring instrument to risks of damage or loss. The use of the dummy probe represents a fundamental step in inclinometer monitoring operations, as it ensures operational safety and preserves the integrity of the inclinometer probe, significantly reducing costs related to potential failures or retrieval operations. Made entirely of stainless steel and equipped with a steel cable coated in polyurethane sheath and graduated every centimeter, the probe ensures robustness, reliability, and ease of use even in harsh field conditions.
