LVDT displacement sensors

LVDT (Linear Variable Differential Transformer) displacement sensors are linear position sensors. They are used to measure linear displacement and position over relatively short ranges. An LVDT consists of a tube containing a freely moving shaft (also known as a core). The base of the tube is mounted in a fixed position, while the end of the rod is attached to an object that moves linearly (back and forth), changing its position.
