Electrical crackmeters

The electrical crack meter is an instrument designed for automated and high-precision monitoring of relative displacements between two points located across a crack or structural joint. The device consists of a potentiometric displacement sensor integrated into a stainless steel telescopic body with two anchor points, enabling highly accurate measurement of crack or joint opening and closure variations. Self-aligning joints compensate for possible misalignments and minor lateral movements without affecting the measurement, ensuring reliable operation even in installations that are not perfectly coaxial. The crack meter can be used both for manual readings through portable readout units and for automated monitoring through data acquisition systems, providing a reliable solution for long-term crack behavior monitoring.
